The Heights, Pimpama
Little Ninja Warriors will love this playground at The Heights in Pimpama! Living up to it's name, this playground is all about climbing high. From the centre tower with birds nest and slide, to the amazing climbing dome and monkey bars - kids can scale the heights to their hearts desire.

Parklake Park, Maudsland
Parklake Park at Maudsland can't be seen from the street, and so many people are surprised once they make their way down to it at how big the playground is! This playground caters well to kids of all ages, with two separate play structures and lots much more to discover. Set under lots of shady trees, plus a few shade cloth structures, you'll find a mega slide, toddler playground, flying fox, swings, huge sandpit and lots of imaginative play elements.

Budds Beach is just minutes from Surfers Paradise, and the perfect spot for families with little ones to visit for a play, picnic and swim. Here you can park just metres from the water, the sheltered foreshore is shade covered with established trees, and the gentle waves mean plenty of fun splashing in the shallows.

Reedy Care Op Shop is more than just a second hand goods store - it's also a great little community spot with plenty on offer for families! Ipswich Nature Centre, Queens Park, Ipswich
Queens Park in Ipswich might be a bit of a drive from the Gold Coast, but it is worth it for the perfect weekend drive. Here you'll find a free (gold coin donation appreciated) nature centre packed with native animals to see, a great cafe and a huge playground.

Galleon Park, Currumbin Waters
This has to be one of the best parks on the southern end of the Gold Coast - a learn to ride track, a playground for toddlers and older kids, basket ball court, grassy field, picnic shelter and toilets!! It's easy to see why Galleon Park is always a popular spot no matter the day of the week.
