The Barn at Mudgeeraba is one of the best Italian dining options, that caters to families and has an idyllic setting in the foothills of Springbrook. You’ll find a welcoming little barn that has been transformed into a restaurant, with a huge outdoor deck and beer garden that feels like you are sitting in the bush. The best part for those looking for a kid-friendly venue? The animal pen!!!
The faces behind The Barn may look familiar. If you’ve ever dined at one of the Percuoco family’s renowned Italian restaurants (think Tartufo Brisbane or the former Fellini Ristorante & Bar at Marina Mirage) you’ll know that it’s not the best experience with little kids!! But The Barn offers you the chance to dine from an epic Percuoco family menu, in a more relaxed and comfortable setting for families.
Depending on the day of the week, you can dine here for breakfast, lunch or dinner, or simply enjoy a drink out in the beer garden with friends. The food is absolutely amazing, using the freshest ingredients with amazing taste! Probably my only comment on the food would be that it would be great to see a couple of smaller, kid friendly options added across the menu.
Visitors are free to say hello to the animals – you aren’t allowed inside the pen, but if you put your hand to the fence the goats will come over for a pat. The animal pen included goats, ducks and chickens, and is a great way to keep little ones occupied while waiting for your meals!
We really enjoyed our visit here, the perfect spot for families to enjoy a meal together. Bookings are recommended, so don’t miss out!
