We’ve been to a lot of school holiday shows, but this one is a little different. For starters, it’s on ice!
Rock on Ice is the brand new show at Paradise Resort this summer, bringing together ice skating, rock music, lights, costumes and plenty of action for a show that parents and kids can enjoy together. The show takes you through different eras of rock music, so there’s a nice dose of nostalgia for the grown-ups alongside the impressive skating and big production moments for the kids. It’s fast, colourful and energetic, with plenty happening on the ice from start to finish, making it a great family show.
Paradise Resort has long been known for its family-friendly holiday facilities, and Planet Chill is one of its standout features. The resort has its own ice skating rink, where both guests and members of the public can get out on the ice.
Planet Chill also becomes the stage for Rock on Ice, transforming the rink into an ice skating production with music, lights and performances. And you don’t need to be staying at Paradise Resort to see the show! Rock on Ice is open to the public as well as resort guests, so you can simply book tickets, head to Paradise Resort for the show and make an afternoon or evening of it.
Better still, you can also stay for dinner afterwards! Public visitors are welcome to dine at the resort’s restaurant before or after the show, so you can turn it into a proper night out without needing to book a room.
Make a holiday of it
If you do decide to stay, there’s a lot more to Paradise Resort than Rock on Ice. The resort is designed so families can settle in and have most of what they need for a holiday right on site, including a waterpark, pools, Planet Chill, Kids Club and a program of activities.
The accommodation is designed with families in mind too, with a range of room options to suit different family sizes, including rooms with bunk areas for children and separate sleeping spaces. For families wanting a little more room, the Family Spa Suite has two bedrooms and sleeps up to five, giving everyone a bit more space to spread out at the end of the day.
