KIDS TAKE OVER @hotagc! This is our favourite annu KIDS TAKE OVER @hotagc! This is our favourite annual school holiday outing, with a kids festival of fun taking over HOTA! Running until Saturday 30 September, you've still got 2 days to get to it! Be sure to take on The Quest, an adventure trail where you follow your passport to complete 6 activities including things like Funky Shirts, Troll Hair Salon and Guitar making - just to name a few! This is just one of the many FREE activities on offer! There is also a free daily Picnic Party, Friday night family movie under the stars, and Sunday's Kids Market. Ticketed events on offer include @lucasproudfootmusic Proudfoot and Friends show, Fluffy (an interactive experience with mountains of shredded paper!), DJ Skool and Lego Battle. Choc-beetroot cakes ~ I love any chance to jam ext Choc-beetroot cakes ~ I love any chance to jam extra goodness into our food!! I've been wanting to make these for ages, and thanks to my @farmerspickau box, I had the perfect excuse! Some people get worried about delivery boxes, because items are randomly selected and you don't have a choice in what you get. But the benefits of shopping this way is that you are not only eating seasonally (better for the wallet, and fresher!), but it can also inspire you to try foods and recipes you might not otherwise. In this box, we received eggplant and beetroot - two veggies that are not usually on our shopping list. But we got experimenting, trying air-fried eggplant chips and choc-beetroot cakes! Both were delicious and two recipes I'd happily make again! @farmerspickau deliver direct to your door from the farmers, and they're all about Aussies embracing imperfect fruit and vegies, reducing food waste, increasing sustainable food options and saving you up to 30% off your weekly grocery shop! The Exit 38 Tourism Mulch Minion Trail is on Monda The Exit 38 Tourism Mulch Minion Trail is on Monday 25 September til Monday 2 October! We headed out this afternoon for a drive to see what was on display already and there's plenty of fun once again! The Mulch Minion trail didn't go ahead in 2022 due to supply shortages, and I feel it hasn't fully recovered back to 2021 standards. There were only 2 bigger displays and it was disappointing that the few well known bigger businesses out that way haven't got behind it - maybe they'll make a late addition!? But the many household displays are fabulous and it's great to see the creativity! Shout out to the Alberton locals who weren't in it last time but have probably got the best street this year!! As always, you can't skip a lunch or dinner stop for fish and chips from Kingfish & Chips, our favourite 🤤

The Children’s Gallery changes every few months, and the newest exhibit "Colour Your Imagination – Just add books" has just opened. After visiting the Children’s Gallery, take a stroll through the other free Galleries where you’ll find a few installations that are interactive and the kids will love.
