Farm & Co at Cudgen is one of those places that gently encourages you to slow down, breathe deeply and enjoy the simple pleasure of being outdoors together. Set among rolling fields and open skies, it’s a beautiful destination for families looking to reconnect with nature — and each other.
Whenever we visit, we head straight for the Farm Walk. Entry is $7 for adults, with kids free, and it’s worth every cent. Wander through glowing sunflower and flower fields, past cows grazing peacefully beneath shady trees, and into wide open spaces where children can roam freely. There are hammocks tucked under macadamia trees, chickens happily scratching about in true free-range style, and plenty of spots to pause and take it all in. One of the highlights for the kids is stopping to say hello to rescue pigs Hank and Peppi, who never fail to bring smiles and laughter. It’s such a calm, happy place — the kind that leaves everyone feeling lighter.
After exploring the farm, the café is the perfect place to finish your visit. The charming market-style space is surrounded by shade trees, making it an easy spot to relax while the kids enjoy the newly installed playground nearby. The menu offers barista-made coffee, cold-pressed juices, cabinet treats, and a delicious à la carte breakfast and lunch selection. Inside, you’ll also find fresh produce, flowers and artisan goods that make it hard to leave empty-handed. If you’re looking for something a bit more special, the Farm & Co Restaurant offers refined rustic dining with a farm to plate menu, reservations are essential (please note the playground is not located near the restaurant).
Farm & Co is more than just a café or a farm walk — it’s a place to linger, unwind and enjoy a slower pace, even if just for an afternoon.
