Hosanna Farmstay, Stokers Siding

Hosanna Farmstay is well loved by many families, with the 100-acre family and dog friendly campsite located in the hinterland of the Tweed Valley regularly booked out. But did you know that they also offer a great options for locals (especially those not too keen on camping!)? Day visitors are welcomed at Hosanna Farmstay and you get to join in on all the fun without camping requirement!

With everything you need for a great day in the country, a Day Visit pass gives you access to the facilities and free activities happening around Hosanna Farmstay that day. Join in feeding the animals, grab a coffee and go for a swim in the dam or conquer the waterslide. Play on the playground, get messy in the mud kitchen, or take a walk on one of the many walking trails. The Northern Rivers Rail Trail also passes right through Hosanna Farmstay, so it’s a very popular place for cyclists. You’re also able to book in to any paid activities, such as the very popular Farm Tour!

We jumped on a Farm Tour during our visit, and it was definitely the highlight of our day. These book out well in advance, so if you’re planning on going – check the bookings for this first and be sure to secure your spot! We booked approximately 3 weeks prior to our visit. The farm tour is a hay bale ride around the farm where you will head out to feed the chickens, collect the eggs, feed the pigs and get really close to the cows! This was such a fun experience and my 5yo couldn’t stop talking about being a farmer and how much he loved the farm jobs. Tours are an additional $10pp.

Pack a picnic lunch, or grab some food onsite, and come and enjoy the spaces – there are plenty of picnic tables around the farm and shady spots under trees that you can enjoy. You can BYO Gazebo or shade structure, camp chairs or picnic blankets to set up for a day of fun in the sun. You can also join in their night sessions with an Evening Pass, where live music plays, campfires are burning and you can enjoy some great BBQ food.
