Turnock Park sits right on the Tweed River in Chinderah, directly across from Cubby Bakehouse, and it’s a great little spot for a play when you’re in the area.
The themed playground is designed for children aged 2 to 13, with plenty of opportunities for imaginative and active play. There are swings, climbing equipment, two slides and a fun bridge, along with nature play areas that blend into the surrounding landscape.
Little ones can look for the fairy door, visit the mushroom house and keep an eye out for the hidden golden frog as they explore.
There are plenty of picnic tables and shelters around the park, along with seating, an accessible BBQ and a drinking fountain. There are toilets, and connecting pathways make it easy to move around the park.
There is off-street parking, however it can get busy, but there is plenty of street parking nearby too.
And, of course, the location makes it easy to turn a playground visit into a little outing. Cubby Bakehouse is directly across the road, so you can grab a takeaway coffee, breakfast or something sweet before or after your play.
