Celadon Park has to be by far one of my favourite 0-5 year old playgrounds across the Coast, due to the endless opportunities for imaginative play! The highlight of this park is definitely the bike track, incorporating traffic signs, a petrol station, fire station and small pump track. Don't forget the bikes or scooters on this visit!

I saw these white chocolate spider webs on @create I saw these white chocolate spider webs on @created.at.home page recently and knew I had to recreate them! Super simple with just 3 ingredients, it's hard to stuff these up!!

I used paddle pop sticks so the kids could hold them, you could go without but make them a little smaller so they don't melt in hands.

I found opening the Oreos up and putting the sprinkle legs inside to work the best. The sprinkles snapped when trying to push them in. I had a jar of Coles Halloween sprinkles and picked out the stick sprinkles. I also had candy eyes, but you could use white choc dots, or little ball sprinkles instead.

White chocolate can be hard to melt without causing it to separate. I heated mine with boiling water on the stove, and then you need to work fast!

The kids loved it and they were demolished in a few minutes flat. Let me know if you give it a try!

From now until 2 November, @qtgoldcoast dares you From now until 2 November, @qtgoldcoast dares you to devour in their wickedly indulgent high tea, conjured up by the QT chefs in the spirit of Halloween!

A delight for the whole family, this experience is thoughtfully themed, and packed with tasty treats both adults and kids will enjoy. My family enjoyed our high tea so much and I'd highly recommend as a fun treat to get in the spooky spirit!

Adults will feast on a tower of tantalising terror with savoury bites, from Dracula’s Eyeball beetroot arancini, the Witches Hat charcoal cone with sun-dried tomato and goat’s cheese, and the smoked salmon and cucumber coffin sandwich.

Kids will enjoy their own special savoury tower, better suited to little tastebuds! Fresh sandwiches, mini quiches and sausage rolls will fill those tummies.

Then both adults and children will enjoy a decadent sweets tower! Sweeten the scare with choux pastry pumpkins, salted caramel eyeballs, and ghostly chocolate delights plus pandan scones with mascarpone cream and blueberry jam.

Halloween QTea: $69 per person
Served tea, espresso coffee or Blood Moon Brew – an iced Geisha green tea with
a strawberry syrup, lychee and blueberry eyeballs.

For the little monsters: $39 per child (aged 5–12 years old)
Served with playful selection of spooky sweet and savoury treats.

International Observe the Moon Night, October 4 🌑🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘
My eldest has been studying the moon and space this past term at school, so when I saw that the @southernastronomicalsociety (located at Upper Coomera) was hosting an open night for IOMN tonight, we had to go along!

They had telescopes set up for us to look through, and Society members were floating around to lend a hand locating stars, planets, satellites and even a pass over of the Chinese Space Station! There were some short talks on the moon, a trivia quiz, and a live stream from a telescope. A sausage sizzle, kids colouring area, glow tattoos and glow sticks also helped to win the kids over!

If you've got kids interested in astronomy, check out @southernastronomicalsociety as they occasionally hold events for the public to go along to. They have monthly meetings too, if you're keen to explore more!
October is here, which means it is time to embrace October is here, which means it is time to embrace all things spooky! We headed to @truckloadscoolangatta, where they've got a great Halloween range in store.

From trick or treat buckets, to spooky skeletons, bats and critters, there was also a great range of Halloween balloons, home decor, and fun party accessories. With great value prices and unique finds, I always find loads more for less at Truckloads! Cookie cutters, goblets, serving platters- these are just some of the items we added to our shopping basket to add to our stash of Halloween supplies.

I love to extend the Halloween fun all through the month, so we've got family-friendly spooky movie nights on the agenda, we'll be having fun in the kitchen baking all the Halloween-themed treats, and of course, I'll be setting up some spooky potion play for the kids!

This October check out @truckloadscoolangatta for all your Halloween needs 🎃👻🕷🧙‍♀️

The Minions are in town! The Mulch Minions, that i The Minions are in town! The Mulch Minions, that is. If you're unfamiliar, the northern Gold Coast cane fields host a popular Mulch Minion Trail each September to coincide with school holidays and the cane harvest. In 2025 the trail will run from Monday 29 September - Monday 6 October.

These cute creations can be found on the Exit 38 Tourism Tourism coordinated trail that takes you through Yatala, Stapylton, Alberton, Jacobs Well and Norwell. I've linked the trail map and all the details on my website: www.mrslardeedah.com and in stories.

Some tips:
- as mentioned, it's cane harvesting time. Be mindful of tractors and other heavy machinery driving around and give them plenty of space.
- some stretches of the trail are 100km/hr. If you have cars behind you, I suggest pulling over whenever it is safe to do so and letting them pass.
- the map has points plotted to help you get around the trail via the best route. These plotted points are NOT where the minions are. You need to keep your eyes peeled as they can be ANYWHERE along the trail depending on who chooses to participate.
- keep an eye out for snakes if you're getting in and out of the car, and be mindful of passing traffic.
