Easter for Gold Coast Kids

Last year we missed out on all the great Easter events, but I’m pleased to say things are back in 2021! There are so many great free and low cost community events scheduled for the Easter weekend and school holidays, so be sure to check out this guide and register for your favourites!

Starting Strong Community Easter Egg Hunt, 27 March 2-4pm, Hope Island

Starting Strong hold outdoor early learning programs for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. As a fundraiser, they’re hosting a Community Easter Egg Hunt at Charles Holm Park in Hope Island, with tickets only $10 per family! There are two separate hunts (one for under 5s and another for 5+), Easter crafts and activities and a sausage sizzle. Feel free to pack a picnic and enjoy an afternoon in the park!

Chevron One Easter Family Day, 27 March, 11am-3pm, Chevron Island

Celebrate with Chevron One at their Easter Family Day on Saturday 27th March. There will be Easter egg hunts, jumping castle, live music and free food, as well as wine give-aways from Levantine Hill. Word on the street is that the Easter Bunny will even pay a special visit.

My First Gym Ashmore Easter Egg Hunt Party, 27 March, 4-5.30pm, Ashmore

Come join us for a fun family Easter Hunt party! Make Easter Egg basket, hunt for eggs, free play and many more fun. $10 for Members and $15 for Non-members, bookings are essential.

Hide & Seek Children’s Market Easter Special, 28 March, 8am-12pm, Elanora

The ever popular Hide & Seek Children’s Market is having an Easter special at it’s Elanora market on Sunday 28 March! The Easter Bunny will be visiting at 9am, 10am & 11am! Plus pony rides, petting farm, facepainting, hair braids, Easter cut outs, and a sign and a colouring in competition.

Westfield Coomera Easter Fun, 1-4 April, Coomera

Egg Hunt: Get egg-cited and hop to it boys and girls: join an Alice in Wonderland themed Easter egg hunt, exclusive to Westfield Plus members. Simply visit the Customer Service Desk for your free Easter basket and get hunting. Thursday 1st April 4pm – 7pm & Saturday 3rd April 11am – 2pm

Easter Bunny: The Easter Bunny is on the loose and you need to help track him down. Be on the look-out for him roaming in-centre Thursday 1 April, Saturday 3 April and Sunday 4 April. Say hello and receive a special chocolate treat. Thursday 1st April 4pm – 7pm, Saturday 3rd April 11am – 2pm & Sunday 4th April 10am – 1pm.

Varsity Lakes Community Scavenger Hunt, 2 April, 1-5pm, Varsity Lakes

Presented by Hope Church & Hope Kids Club – Get your friends and family groups together and join the free community family event. Follow the clues to find the egg stations to collect your eggs and get your next clue.
Hunt in groups of no more than 4-6 people, complete the hunt to go in to the main draw to win an Easter hamper. Look out for 8 Golden eggs hidden along the hunt journey to win one of 8 large eggs. (1 per group).

Easter School Holidays at The Strand Coolangatta, 3-17 April, Coolangatta

There are activities for all the family this Easter at The Strand, so register now! Bring the kids along and join in the fun. There are dinosaur workshops, facepainting, and even a visit from Poppy the Troll. The Easter Bunny will be spreading chocolate and joy over the Easter weekend.

Easter Bunny, 3 & 4 April, 10am – 2pm daily :The roving Easter bunny will be spreading lots of chocolate joy over the Easter weekend, make sure you grab your slice of the chocolate action!

Trolls World Tour Workshop, 7-11 April, 10am – 1pm daily: Craft workshop- build your own Trolls World Tour Backstage Pass! Plus meet Poppy the Troll for a one-on-one meet and greet.

Dinosaur Fossil Excavation Craft Workshops, 13-17 April, 10am – 1pm daily: What kid doesn’t love dinosaurs? Step back in time and let the kids uncover their very own dinosaur fossils. Learn about the prehistoric creatures and find out how you can make the next big discovery.

Face Painters, 13-17 April, 10am-1pm daily: Let your kiddies imaginations run wild and allow the face painters to turn their faces into anything they choose! It’ll be sure to keep them busy, just be ready for that scary lion growling at you!

Movies under the Stars: Hop, 3 April, 6pm, Surfers Paradise

What better way to spend an evening than outdoors watching a movie under the stars! The City of Gold Coast Movies under the Stars program is free, family-friendly fun. Registrations are essential. Gather your family and friends, pack a picnic or take advantage of delicious food options available. Doors: 6pm, Movie starts: 7pm.

Movie: Hop. E.B., the Easter Bunny’s teenage son, heads to Hollywood, determined to become a drummer in a rock ‘n’ roll band. In LA, he’s taken in by Fred after the out-of-work slacker hits E.B. with his car.

Easter Egg Hunt at Ingles Park, 3 April, 8.30am, Mudgeeraba

Easter Egg Hunt in the park, hosted by Charl Louw Real Estate in Mudgeeraba. Registration is essential.

Easter on the Esplanade, 3 April, 4-9pm, Surfers Paradise

Callin’ all the bunnies to come out of their burrows for the Easter on the Esplanade event, at the Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets! Get eggcited because the Esplanade will be turned into an Easter Paradise, where you don’t have to feel guilty about giving in to your sweet tooth. You’ll find the Easter bunny bouncing around to the beats and getting amongst the treats along the Esplanade from 4pm-9pm. You’ll find Easter giveaways, kids entertainment and activities and themed decorations.

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny, 4 April, 9-11am, Coomera

Shearers Arms Easter Family Fun, 4 April, Ormeau

Hop in for a fun-filled family day on Easter Sunday 4th April 2021. The Easter bunny will be making his grand appearance at 1pm to say a big hello to the kiddies. It’s not Easter without chocolate which is why the Easter Bunny will be giving out FREE EGGS to all children who dine at Shearers Arms. Jumping castles will be out the back to entertain the kids while you relax not to mention the best face painter in Brisbane so make sure your child has an idea of what they want to be painted on their faces before they come. Can you guess the eggs? Order any chicken meal to receive an entry form to guess how many chocolates are in the jar. Kids love to colour and can enter the annual Easter colouring-in competition with 3 delicious prizes to be won. Three age groups will be judged with one winner picked from each age group.

Racecourse Markets, 4 April, 6.30-11am, Surfers Paradise

This Easter long weekend, the Racecourse Markets are turning into a fun-filled Easter paradise, to be enjoyed by the whole family. They’ll have the Easter Bunny handing out chocolates, colouring-in books, a jumping castle and of course the resident pony rides and face painting.

Hope Island Shopping Centre Easter Egg Hunt, 4 April, 8.45am, Hope Island

Coles at Hope Island Shopping Centre is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt from 8:45am. All Kids are welcome!

Elements 85 & Links Hope Island Golf Course, 4 April, 12-3pm, Hope Island

Bring your own picnic blanket and join in the treasure hunt and lunch created by Head Chef Steeve Silloux. A house made 3 course picnic on the greens, fun and games for all, chocolates from the Easter Bunny, wine and a Toblerone cocktail for the grown-ups! There is also an egg painting competition, egg hunt and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

Alleygators Palm Beach Currumbin Easter Family Fun Day, 4 April, Currumbin Waters

The popular sports club is hosting an Easter Family Fun Day! Join in the Easter Egg Hunt on the main field and enjoy inflatable fun for the kids, balloon animals, live music and raffles. There will be great Easter specials in the restaurant and KIDS EAT FREE!
