Playgrounds

Jack Wilson Park, Robina

Great fenced playgrounds that are not busy, are few and far between. All toddler parents know how much better the playground experience is when the area is fenced, but personally I try and avoid some of the more popular ones as they are just too busy for me!

Jack Wilson Park at Robina is a quiet little train themed neighbourhood park that (while a little dated) has some great imaginative play equipment and is fully fenced! With two play structures, those who are in the early stages of toddlerhood through to primary school children will be well catered for here.

The first structure resembles a train, and is great for any Thomas the Tank obsessed little kids. With a tunnel, some low level climbing opportunities and a small slide, kids will delight in pretending to be a train driver or passengers on the next train! The second structure is great for any young ninja warriors, with plenty of monkey bars, climbing walls and a flying fox. There is also a bigger slide, and a swing set. A couple of motorbike themed rockers complete the playground.

I love how shady this playground is, although I’m not a huge fan of the sand!!! But I’m learning to embrace it (and remembering to empty the shoes before we get in the car). For any little fairy lovers, there is a further imaginative play option with a beautiful little fairy ring just outside of the fenced playground. You could also bring a ball, as the park grounds are huge and there is plenty of space for running around.
