Mangrove Jack Park, Helensvale

Ahoy there! Boat fans will be pleased with Mangrove Jack Park, with it’s paddle steamer inspired play structure accompanied by a little motor boat with water skis!!

Situated alongside a small inlet off the Coomera River, this playground has a fun nautical theme to inspire the imagination. For those who are fans of the Oxenford Lake park and walk, Mangrove Jack Park is like a smaller version, and has a kilometre long flat footpath around the lake – perfect for bringing the bikes along!

At the main park, you’ll find a shaded playground with a see-saw, swings, climbing structure, mini boat and play water skis. There is also a small platform over looking the lake, perfect for spotting the fish and ducks swimming by.

About halfway along the walk around the lake, you’ll find a second, smaller playground designed for older kids, with a large climbing net and balance obstacles.

While there are no toilets at the playground, there is a pedestrian underpass at the Monterey Keys roundabout (near the entrance to the park carpark), which provides safe access to the toilet block on the opposite side of Hope Island Road.

Need to know:

  • Address: Parking is available off Hope Island Rd, just before the Monterey Keys Dr roundabout (see red dot on map below)
  • Facilities: toilets available via pedestrian underpass at River Downs Park. Shade covered playground, off street parking.
