Gold Coast parks for early walkers
Heading to a playground with an early walker can often be a difficult task - the play equipment is too advanced, the play surface not baby friendly, the list goes on. One of the most common questions I'm asked is where are the best parks to visit with little ones who are just starting to coast around holding on to things, or have started toddling around but aren't confident on their feet. Well, this list is for you! Here is my list of playgrounds that cater for the 10mth - 2 year age group.

William Duckett White Park, Gaven
William Duckett White Park at Gaven is home to a beautiful shady park and plenty of open green space. Kids will love the large net hammock, rope bridges and two slides, and there is also a seesaw and swing set.

Ron Short Park, Southport
Located opposite the Alicia Street shops, grab some takeaway lunch or a coffee and head on over to the fully fenced playground at Ron Short Park. Bring a picnic blanket and set up under the trees, or make use of the picnic shelter by the playground. This one even has public toilets!

Pratten Park, Broadbeach
Pratten Park Playground sits at the southern end of Pratten Park and is the smaller of the two playgrounds here. Unfenced, the highlight of this playground is the pedal cars that wrap around the entire playground!

Before school protein pancakes
If you've got a fussy eater, you're likely to worry about how your child will cope during a school day. Breakfast time has always been a battle in our house, with many of the preferred options high on sugar and low on sustenance. Enter these protein pancakes. They have changed breakfast time for us, there are no more battles (in fact, they beg for them!), and I know they are fuelling the kids well for a busy day. Sindone Family Park, Varsity Lakes
The Sindone Family Park is such a fabulous neighbourhood park! With a tall tower for climbing four levels high, a mega slide and plenty of imaginative play options, we loved visiting this one. A see-saw and swing set can also be found in the shade covered playground, and the shop front is a hit with the younger kids.

Kurrawa All Abilities Playground is possibly the most popular fully-fenced playground on the Gold Coast! It's not hard to see why, spread over a huge area, full of big shady trees and packed with plenty of play elements, it is every kids delight!
