Eating out,  Free to do

Valley Espresso, Elanora

From the street, Valley Espresso at Elanora looks like an unassuming little coffee shop attached to an indoor sports centre. But for those in the know, they’re in on the secret tucked around the back! Down a little path to the side of the cafe lies a fully fenced grassed area with plenty of shade to sit and enjoy your coffee break while the kids run around. If you can, make sure you visit on a Monday or Wednesday when Valley Espresso set up their jumping castle and it’s the perfect location for a week day playdate!

Depending on the weather, the jumping castle is set up on either the grassed area outside, or inside on the indoor sports court. Both options provide a fenced in area that means the kids can run and play while you sit back and enjoy a coffee! If a jumping castle isn’t of interest to your kids, the small gardens are great to explore, watch the golfers on the golf course next door, or kick a ball from the many put out by the sports centre.

The cafe has a great selection of coffee, tea, milkshakes and cold drinks, as well as a range of donuts. muffins, cookies, cakes, savoury treats and toasted sandwiches, all very reasonably priced. Place your order and find yourself a spot in the fenced area and they’ll deliver it right to you, so there is no need to drag the kids back to the counter to collect!

This is a lovely, family friendly spot to grab a coffee and a bite to eat, and let the kids play for a while. Bring a picnic blanket (or grab a spot on the big communal mat provided) and catch up for a playdate!
