27 June – 12 July: Winterfest at Dreamworld

A winter wonderland awaits at Dreamworld. Winterfest transforms the park into a festive winter playground, bringing the magic of a European-style winter to the Gold Coast. With winter activities layered on top of Dreamworld’s rides, wildlife encounters and family attractions, Winterfest is the perfect way to enjoy the school holidays together. Come to our June/July Holidays show at Qtop Puppets! An exciting tale of mermaids, sea serpents and wonderful incredible scenes, you won’t believe how good this story is. 29 June – 11 July: Stitch Studio at The Pines Elanora

The Pines Elanora is turning up the creativity this July with Stitch Studio. It’s a hands-on customisation workshop designed just for kids. Choose any three from a vibrant range of embroidered iron-on patches, lay them out onto a complimentary pencil case, or bring a jacket, tote or tee from home and use that instead! Get ready for an epic adventure at our Minions & Monsters Activity Zone these School Holidays! From giant photo moments to hands-on slime fun, kids can dive into an immersive world of mischief, monsters and movie magic. Strike a pose at our larger-than-life Hollywood-inspired photo experience and step into the spotlight as the star of your very own Minions & Monsters movie moment. 29 June – 12 July: Game On! Craft Champions at Gold Coast City Libraries

Calling all young athletes and artists! Race into the library these school holidays for Game On! Craft Champions, a fun-filled program that combines creativity, teamwork and a love of sport. Book your spot now for an exciting line-up of activities, including:

  • Build-A-Stadium: Create a diorama of your favourite stadium, court or arena.
  • Sporty Creations: Get crafty and explore a range of hands-on sport-inspired projects.
  • World Flags, World Sport: Design a colourful flag garland celebrating sports from around the globe.
  • Rolling Raceway: Build your own race track inspired ball run and test it in action.

6 – 11 July: SWELL Sculpture Festival Arty School Holiday Workshops at The Strand Shopping Centre, Coolangatta

Join SWELL Artists these school holiday at their pop-up studio at The Strand for FREE school holiday workshops. Patterned Places with Artist Michelle Plastrier invites participants to explore colour, pattern and form through a hands-on creative activity inspired by the work on display “There’s No Place Like Home”. Through collage, construction and experimentation, participants will transform simple materials into artworks while exploring how shapes, colours and patterns can suggest places, landscapes and imagined worlds. Join in on FREE Breakdancing Workshops hosted by Elements Collective at Paradise Centre. Get ready to break, spin, and flow. The heroes of hip hop are taking over Paradise Centre with free, all-ages breakdancing workshops running daily from 6–11 July. Sessions run at 12pm, 1pm and 2pn daily. 6 – 17 July: Foodie Festival at Tweed City Shopping Centre

Jump into a world of flavour-filled fun these school holidays at Foodie Festival! 10am – 1pm daily, we’re celebrating all things food with oversized games, creative activities, and FREE hands-on fun the whole family will love. From tossing dumplings to racing through spaghetti challenges, there’s something to delight every little foodie. Kids can get creative and design their very own laminated placemat to take home. Game on! Super Striker is bringing soccer fun in centre these school holidays, with interactive activities where kids can challenge their skills, build confidence and score big. This is FREE and bookings are not required. Sessions are on 11am – 2pm.

  • 7 July — Soccer Skills & Drills Training Day: Kick-start your Super Striker journey with fast-paced skills and drills! Kids can sharpen their passing, shooting and footwork in fun challenges designed to build confidence and get them game-ready.

If your kids love eating burgers, they’ll love learning how to make them! We serve up a whole lotta fun in a 60 minute session: they’ll get to see all the secrets behind our famous burgers, learn the food ‘superpowers’ of great nutrition and build their own perfect burger from the bun up. $15 per child. 9 July: Festival of Fun, Miami State High School

A day that celebrates all things accessibility, inclusion and FUN for everyone, especially those living with a disability. The day starts at 9:am with the Expo, petting farm, Jumping Castle, the Northcott “Try Me Sports Arena” (Come have a go at a variety of sports) and meet and greet a few local sporting icons and have FUN and even prepare yourself for the concert with our giant Karaoke where everyone is welcome to have a go and win one of our cool prizes.
