The Messy Place at Ashmore is the ultimate creative sensory play centre on the Gold Coast, designed exclusively for children under 6 years old. They offer creative and messy play sessions in a safe and enjoyable environment. Here, kids can unleash their imagination and make a mess, while parents relax and connect with not only their children, but other parents too!
When you walk in to The Messy Place, you’re greeted by a colourful and airy space that welcomes you and encourages creativity. All of the activities are designed around sensory play, but enable the kids to be creative in their own way and engage as much as they feel comfortable – they might want to paint a poster, or they might want to paint themselves – it’s up to them! There is also a really fun Glow Room! I really loved how much creativity was encouraged and the addition of craft and creation is definitely a point of difference for The Messy Place. One other thing I noticed, was how calm the space was. In the midst of 15 children engaging in sensory play, the room was quiet! The kids were so focused on what they were playing with and creating.
Sessions are booked on a casual basis, charged at $20 per session. You can book in as often or as little as you like, there are no memberships or term fees. Sessions are either Messy Bubs sessions (under 18mths) or Creative Play sessions (18mths to 5yrs).
The Messy Place also specialises in private kids parties, where your child and their friends can celebrate their special day in a one-of-a-kind creative way. Their dedicated party hosts will ensure that the celebration is tailored to your child’s preferences, organising engaging activities and games that spark their creativity and leave lasting memories.
