    Travel tips for families

    Travel is back on the cards and there's never been a better time to take a family holiday! While we're all a bit out of practice post-pandemic, travel with toddlers and young children is always a bit daunting no matter how experienced you are! However, with a bit of planning, you can be on your way to some fun and memorable family experiences. Here I'm sharing what I've learned and what works for my family when travelling.

    In September 2022, our family of four (children 4yrs and 16mths) headed over to Sofitel Fiji, Denarau for a week long family holiday!     Clutter is one of my worst enemies – I honestly feel like I can’t think straight when there is too much clutter around!     Lunchbox snacks are now high on the priority list in our household, and I'll take any chance to pack these with extra nutrients! These are the perfect chocolatey muffins, but little ones will never know the secret ingredient is actually, really good for them!

    The Wallaby Hotel at Mudgeeraba is one of the oldest classic pubs on the Gold Coast! It's also got family friendly dining down pat, with one of the best kids play areas around.

    Tallebudgera Creek would have to be one of the most popular swimming spots on the Gold Coast, but make sure you take the time to venture a little further during your visit so you don't miss out on some of the locals best kept secrets! Ronnie Long Park is a great beach side playground that always draws the crowds.

    The Club at Parkwood is the perfect family friendly dining spot! While the main pavilions are open and airy, encouraging relaxed dining, The Backyard is where you want to be with its large grassy area and huge free jumping castle!

    Sharing the things that helped me to get through the first 3 months. Every baby is different, and so there is always help to be sought and tips and tricks to be found. It is fantastic to see how much support and how many amazing businesses there are on the Gold Coast! I really didn't need to look further than my own back yard to find the answers to so many of my problems and questions. Here's who helped me get through the fourth trimester.
