Aquila Park, Pimpama

My favourite playgrounds are those that pack so much into them, the kids have no clue where to start – Aquila Park at Pimpama (Gainsborough Greens) is definitely one of these!

From the awesome water play area, with moving spouts and water pumps, to the epic slide tower, the spinner and all the climbing and balance equipment – you can easily spend a few hours at this playground without anyone getting bored.

Spaced out into four zones (all of which are easily visible from the many seats around the playground), Aquila Park caters to all ages with its variety of equipment and differing levels of difficulty. With plenty of shade and located well away from the road, this is definitely a favourite of parents as well.

Zone 1 is the most basic area, with a swing set and a small cubby house. There is also some rope balance beams and a see-saw for kids to play with.

Zone 2 is the sand play area. Here you’ll find diggers and all the water play tunnels, spouts, pumps and troughs.

Zone 3 is all about climbing, with a small climbing structure and slide, mushrooms to hop along and big brightly coloured boulders to climb over. There is also a spinner here that seats 4.

Zone 4 is the slide tower! It is 9m tall and has 2 slides depending on the confidence of your child. The tower is great fun to climb and has mesh panels for looking through at the top and a rock climbing wall on the side.

Added extras at this playground include a small bike path around the outside of the playground, perfect for scooters or learning to ride; and a dry creek bed for exploring. Facilities include a toilet block, BBQ and picnic tables.
