Allowing kids to get messy is extremely important for their development. It provides them with an exciting tactile and sensory experience that inspires their curiosity, allows them to explore the world around them and enhances their learning, language and creativity. For many parents though, dealing with the clean up of messy play is enough to make them hesitate! That’s where Messy Play sessions are filling the gap and creating a safe space for our kids to get messy, but without the need for parents to clean up.

Mighty Mess Kids

Mighty Mess Kids offer sessions at Helensvale, Nerang and Pimpama, suitable for children aged 6 months to 5 years. These classes can be purchased on a casual basis or they offer discounted packages for attending 2, 3 or 4 sessions over a Term. Explore the world through touch, sight, smell, sound, and taste, your child will engage in sensory-rich activities using both wet and dry materials, fostering creativity, imagination, and essential skills while having a blast. Let’s Bee Sensory

Let’s Bee Sensory runs sessions at Gilston on the Gold Coast. Suitable for children aged up to 5 years, there is also an option of an under 3yrs class for the younger ones. Here you’ll find casual classes that are both indoor and outdoor with great play spaces to join too. Let’s Bee Sensory is a class for under 5’s where all the mess can be made without the clean up afterwards. Gumtree Kids

Originally from Brisbane, Gumtree Kids also runs sessions on the Gold Coast at The Historic Rivermill! These classes are set outdoors, themed differently each week and utilise some natural elements as well as taste safe trays. They hold Themed messy play classes for ages 6months – 6 years; Nature play classes for ages 15 months to 7 years; and Baby only classes for 6 months to early walkers. Their messy play and nature play classes give babies and children an opportunity to learn that it’s ok to be messy while building, imagining, investigating, exploring, creating and observing. The Messy Place at Ashmore is the ultimate creative sensory play centre on the Gold Coast, designed exclusively for children under 6 years old.
